Navigating and playing media

Avalon will read the device and present a directory listing on the screen.

The following symbols are used in the directory listing:

a folder - folders can store media ﬁles and other folders and you can expand the

folder to see the contents

a picture ﬁle - you can display this picture

a sound ﬁle - you can play this ﬁle

a video ﬁle - you can play this ﬁle

To navigate the ﬁle structure, use the following buttons:

and to browse up and down through the ﬁles and folders

and to jump to the start or end of a directory listing

OK to expand a folder or play the media ﬁle (provided it is supported)

Back to jump up to the parent directory

If you have opened a picture ﬁle and more than one picture is available, you can press the

and buttons to cycle through each image in the directory.

If you have opened a sound or video ﬁle, you can use the following buttons:

play or pause

skip backwards or forwards

stop

skip forwards

rewind or fast-forward the sound or video ﬁle

Back to return to the directory listing

You can press the Menu button at any time to exit and return to the menu system.
